Grant County Drugs Relay for Life Team is having a bake sale Friday May 23, from 11am to 3pm at the Dry Ridge location, 24 South Main Street. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society’s Grant County Relay for Life.
The team is also selling raffle tickets for an LG 37″ LCD flat panel HDTV to benefit the American Cancer Society’s Grant County Relay for Life. The Relay for Life will be at the Grant County Park in Crittenden beginning Friday June 6 at 7 pm and ending Saturday June 7 at 7 am.

The Community Enrichment Through the Arts (CETA) will hold its third annual Spring Art in the Park Festival from 10 am to 5 pm on April 26 at the Grant County Park in Crittenden.
Featured will be artwork from local artists and crafters as well as a children’s art show and Golden Art Exhibit. Products from various Grant County organizations, such as 4-H and the Grant County Homemakers will be featured. Separate activities for children are available. Admission is free.
Most of the artwork will be displayed in the barn at the rear of the park, so the event will be held rain or shine.

Grant County Parks and Recreation presents the first of several activities planned this year for senior citizens. The Senior Games will take place from 1 pm to 3 pm on April 18 at the Grant County Park in Crittenden.
Seniors are invited to join in for an afternoon of activities such as beach chair volleyball and corn hole, along with food and prizes. The Senior Games will be held rain or shine. The event is organized by Body Works Gym and the Grant County Parks and Recreation. Humana is sponsoring the event. For more information call 428-4500.

The Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs will have a representative at the Grant County Courthouse on April 8 from 9am to noon and from 1pm to 4 pm. Veterans, widows or widowers can receive help with applying fro non-service connected disability pensions, service connected compensation claims or to file for an increase in service-connected compensation claims. A free informational worksho is planned for caregivers about the legal aspects of caring for an older adult in Northern Kentucky. The event is set for 9 am to 1:30 am on April 12 in the community room of Colonial Heights, 6900 Hopeful Road, Florence, KY.
Topics will include estate planning, durable power of attorney, trusts, long-term care planning, Medicaid, estate recovery and advanced directives.
